BMW FTE Integral ABS module (iABS / Generation 2, 2000-2006)
Price:
600.00 € + VAT
The BMW FTE Integral ABS / iABS Generation 2 unit is one of the most commonly repaired BMW motorcycle ABS modules. It was used in BMW motorcycles from approximately 2000 to 2006, including models such as the R1150RT, R1150GS, R1200GS, R1200RT and others.
Typical failure symptoms include two flashing ABS warning lights, irregular servo pump operation, loss of brake assistance, uneven brake boost, or an overly sharp and unpredictable brake response.
This is not a fault that should be ignored. The BMW iABS system is directly connected to braking performance and motorcycle safety, so in case of ABS/servo unit failure we strongly recommend professional repair and testing.
Repair is possible, carried out by a specialized service, and provided with an official warranty.
🛡
The repair includes a 1-year warranty.

Description
BMW FTE Integral ABS / iABS Generation 2 is a complex ABS and brake assistance module used in several BMW motorcycle models from approximately 2000 to 2006. This system is also known as BMW Integral ABS with servo assistance.
Over time, these ABS units often develop faults in both the electronic and hydraulic/servo parts. For this reason, a proper repair is not just clearing fault codes or replacing one component, but a full diagnosis, repair and testing of the ABS unit.
Common symptoms:
- two red ABS warning lights flashing on the dashboard;
- ABS fault appears immediately after starting the motorcycle;
- servo pump operates irregularly, too often or continuously;
- brakes react too sharply even with a light touch of the brake pedal or lever;
- brake assistance is lost or works unevenly;
- the motorcycle switches to emergency or “residual braking” mode;
- diagnostic faults related to pressure sensors, pump, motor or ABS control unit;
- the fault may appear only after warming up or after some riding time.
If these symptoms appear, continuing to ride is not recommended, because ABS/servo system behavior may become unpredictable. A faulty ABS unit can affect not only the ABS function, but also the brake assistance system.
What the repair includes:
- initial inspection and diagnosis of the ABS unit;
- electronic section inspection;
- hydraulic and servo section inspection;
- repair of common faults;
- replacement of necessary worn or damaged components;
- testing after repair;
- preparation for return to the customer;
- official repair warranty.
It is important to understand that a used ABS unit is usually not a safe long-term solution. It may have the same age-related defect, an unknown history, and in some cases may require additional adaptation or programming. Repair allows you to keep the original motorcycle ABS unit and restore its operation.
How the process works:
1. You complete the repair request with motorcycle and ABS fault information.
2. We check the submitted information and contact you if clarification is needed.
3. The ABS unit is removed from the motorcycle.
4. You send the ABS unit to us, or we help organize collection from your address.
5. The unit is sent for specialized repair and testing.
6. After repair, the ABS unit is shipped back to you.
7. You reinstall the unit on the motorcycle and perform a system check.
If you are not sure whether your motorcycle has exactly this ABS unit, fill in the request and include the motorcycle model, year, symptoms and, if possible, photos of the ABS unit. We will help identify the correct ABS type.
The repair is provided with warranty. Warranty conditions apply to the repaired ABS unit, but do not include removal, installation, transportation or other external work costs unless agreed separately.
